There is a company called “Better Place” that has a mission to create stations where a battery in an electric car could be swapped out faster than a traditional gas station could fill a car. I love the concept and I’m looking forward to seeing how the execution plays out…

Electric Battery Swap Out Plan
Looking for the Vulture or the Hummingbird?
There is a parenting series at my church called “Have a New Kid by Friday” by Dr. Kevin Leman. Even though I like both my kids and don’t want to swap them, I’m always trying to improve my parenting technique so I thought I’d sign up. I’m glad I did. It’s full of good reminders [...]
Mash it Up, Smash it Up and Crash it Up!
My husband has become a fan of mashup DJ Gregg Gillis who goes by the handle “Girl Talk.” His frenetic re-mixes leap from one style to another uniquely tied together by lyrics and/or beats.

Proud Mama
My 4 year old attended a friend’s birthday party today and I was so proud of his good manners! We were in the car on the way there and he thought aloud, “I’m so glad Liam invited me to his party!” I said “Well, why don’t you tell him that? It’s good manners to thank [...]
Pangea No More
It’s hard for me to see my extended family drifting away from one another. We grew up so tight but now I don’t know too much about the lives of my cousins, aunts, grandparents, etc. I do my best to pick up the phone and I get some e-mails now and again but I miss [...]
I’m Watching as Hard as I Can!
My son is always saying, “Mommy – Watch! – Watch Mommy! – WATCH!” It makes me laugh because I AM watching! I’m watching as intently as I can! Usually his antics only take a second or two. He often spends more time making certain that he is getting the amount of attention he believes the [...]
Mother’s Day Tribute to My Grandmother, Mary F. Carr
My Gram Carr died 16 years ago on Mother’s Day. Were she still alive, she’d be 85 this year. I’ve been thinking a lot about her life. She had a lot of challenges. From what I recall, she met them with a strong spirit, humor and lots of hard work. Here are a few memories [...]
