The Active Transportation Alliance was at today’s farmer’s market. They have some fun events coming up! Check ‘em out!
Active Trans’s Footprints coaches get hungry. Helping Southland residents find great bike routes, get their bikes in shape, and figure out the transit routes takes a lot of expertise and energy. And when they get hungry, they ride their bikes to great Southland eateries.
As a Footprints participant, you’re invited to join the coaches on two fabulous Southland Bike & Dines in September:
Footprints Bike & Dine Tinley Creek, September 12
Join Active Trans Footprints coaches on a dining tour of three classic eateries linked by the Tinley Creek Trail: Oliver’s Pub in Oak Forest, Isabella Cafe in Tinley Park, and Two Sisters Custard in Midlothian.
Ride starts at Central Park School, 3621 W. 151st Street in Midlothian at 4 PM, returning to the school at 7:30 PM (bring your lights or borrow a Planet Bike Spok light from us). Cost is $20 for Footprints participants. Only 20 spaces reserved, and they won’t last.
Footprints Bike & Dine Beverly/Blue Island, September 19
Active Trans Footprints coaches take you on a tour through historic sister communities to three of the Southland’s most heralded restaurants: Cafe 103 and Koda in Beverly, and Maple Tree Inn in Blue Island.
Ride starts at Ridge Park, 96th & Longwood Drive in Beverly at 4 PM, returning to the park at 7:30 PM (bring your lights or borrow a Planet Bike Spok light from us). Cost is $20 for Footprints participants. Just 20 spots available.
(Quick tip: if you haven’t enrolled in Footprints at http://activetrans.org/footprints before you register to get $15 off.)
