I have been having so much fun cooking with Kosher salt! I don’t know what my husband got it for but I’ve been using it in everything! It’s awesome to sprinkle on top of bread I’m baking for a “pretzelly” vibe. It’s also amazing for infusing cooking oil. My new favorite thing to make is tiny, crispy homemade fries. My son loves them. I use the sauce pan with the smallest circumference so the oil gets deep without having to use as much. I dump a bunch of my kosher salt in there – about a good tablespoon to a cup of oil – get it sizzling and toss my sliced up red potatoes in there. When they are golden brown I sprinkle them with regular salt, a dash of pepper and sometimes some parmesan. Walla! Yummy deliciousness that is nowhere on my Weight Watchers regime!
