| Carol Vance has been creating beadwork since the early 80's, studying the peyote and commanche stitching of the Blackfeet Tribe in Montana where she lived with her husband and child. Upon returning to Chicago, natural stones and sterling silver became the basic elements she chose to work with, sometimes including crystal and glass. In native traditions, natural stones hold the power of healing as well as celebrating the earth where they are found. Carol lives with her husband in Homewood, IL. Her son is presently serving in the US Marine Corps.
